Seoul Post Studio publishes educational content about post-production — including guides, glossary definitions, blog posts, and pricing information — that directly influences business decisions made by filmmakers and producers. We take the accuracy and trustworthiness of that content seriously.
This page explains our editorial standards, how we source information, how we handle errors, and the principles that guide our content decisions.
Our Content Sources
First-Hand Experience (Primary Source)
The majority of our content is sourced from direct, first-hand experience managing post-production projects in Seoul. This includes:
- Pricing data derived from actual bids we have scoped and negotiated with Korean post facilities
- Workflow descriptions based on real projects we have managed across color, VFX, sound, and mastering
- Facility capability assessments based on physical visits, virtual tours, and working relationships with Korean post houses
- Technical specifications verified against current platform documentation (Netflix Partner Help Center, Apple TV+ delivery specs, Disney+ technical requirements)
Industry Sources
Where we reference industry data, market statistics, or third-party information, we draw from authoritative sources including:
- KOFIC (Korean Film Council) — for government policy, co-production treaty information, and industry statistics
- Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV+ technical documentation — for delivery specifications and platform requirements
- Dolby Laboratories — for Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision technical standards
- SMPTE, DCI, ITU — for color science, theatrical distribution, and broadcast standards
- Blackmagic Design — for DaVinci Resolve capabilities and specifications
- Industry trade publications — Screen International, Variety, The Hollywood Reporter for market data and industry context
What We Don't Do
- We don't aggregate information from SEO content farms, directories, or unverified secondary sources
- We don't present unverified claims as facts
- We don't use AI-generated content without human expert review and fact-checking
- We don't fabricate case studies, testimonials, or credential claims
Fact-Checking Process
Every piece of content published on SeoulPostStudio.com undergoes the following review:
Technical accuracy review: Technical content (delivery specifications, color science, software capabilities, format descriptions) is reviewed by a practitioner who works in that discipline. Colorists review color content; sound professionals review audio content; VFX supervisors review VFX content.
Pricing verification: All pricing data is verified against current facility rates at the time of publication. Pricing ranges are presented as estimates for planning purposes, with clear notes that actual project pricing depends on scope, complexity, and timeline. We state the date pricing was last verified.
Source verification: Claims that reference specific facts (Netflix investment figures, KOFIC policies, platform delivery specs) are verified against the original source before publication.
Content Updates
Post-production technology, pricing, and platform requirements change. Our update schedule:
- Quarterly review: All guides and glossary entries are reviewed quarterly for accuracy
- Immediate updates: When significant industry changes occur (new platform specifications, major pricing shifts, technology releases), affected content is updated within one week
- Date stamps: Every piece of content displays a "Last updated" or "Reviewed" date so readers know when the information was last verified
Corrections Policy
If we publish something inaccurate, we fix it. Our corrections process:
- Factual errors are corrected immediately upon discovery
- Significant corrections are noted at the top of the affected article with a description of what changed
- Minor corrections (typos, formatting, non-substantive clarifications) are made without formal notation
- We welcome reader corrections — email [email protected] with "Content Correction" in the subject line
Disclosure of Interest
Seoul Post Studio is a post-production service provider. Our content is published to educate potential clients and establish our expertise in the Korean post-production market. This means:
- We have a commercial interest in presenting Korean post-production favorably. We acknowledge this bias openly.
- We also have a reputational interest in being accurate. Clients who rely on our content and find it misleading don't become repeat clients. Our long-term business success depends on the trustworthiness of the information we provide.
- We acknowledge limitations. Where Korean post-production is less competitive than alternatives (see our Korea vs. India VFX comparison), we say so.
- We don't accept payment for editorial content. No Korean facility has paid for favorable coverage in our guides, blog posts, or glossary.
